Using Ruckage's new stars, is there a way to shift the star colors more to white rather than the blue color bias?

Thank you,

Yup, just adjust the Hue/Saturation setting(s) in an image editor like PaintShop (I often use NeoPaint for things like that).

:o When I bought a new computer and lost PaintShop, I downloaded GIMP ... it's free and works great for most things.

And if you are wondering which file you need for it and how to replace it, here's a quote from the Custom Kit:
To replace the background stars texture, use the \\environment folder and the following filename:

stars.png = background stars
So simply create a folder called 'environment' inside your EM root folder, and put a .png image for the background stars in there.
I do quite a lot of graphic work myself and another great image manipulation program I can recommend is GIMP, you can get it here (top of the page). I use it for all my work. Most graphic programs let you change the color saturation, as Vice described, or have a desaturation function to get rid of too much color.

Good luck!

Edit:
Marvin beat me to it with the GIMP.

Thank you very much!

Both for the detailed notes and the link to GIMP.

I was just starting to photoshop it and realized I no longer have that.

To change star colors:
To replace the star textures, use the \\environment folder and these filenames:

burstX.png = Star textures (X range = 1-5, 256X256 or higher recommended)
Edit: Never mind. Yoda moment.
