Greetings to the Universe

Post by TheMom »

Hello all! I am TheMom of Kat and Cindy. :)

First off, ya'll should know that I can not play. At all. I've tried (with Cindy arm wrestling me into the chair and all but tying me to the joystick). I just can't get past the vertigo.

Any spare time that Cindy has she talks and talks and rattles on and on and on about the happening here on EM, so it is almost like I get to play any way. :D

I would like to thank all you players who watch out for my girls and put up with their... um... annoyances. A great big thank you to Dingo for kicking Cindy off the server during school time and trying to keep her out of trouble! ;)

I'm off to my own world of mischief...

Hi there "Mom".

The 2 of them are "annoying" little buggers (in a good way, LOL).;)

It's a pleasure "fighting" them out there in the vast space.

I have gained a lot of new good friends here as well. Very nice place.

Welcome to the forum! I'm guessing you've had the time to explore the forum and get an idea of what kind of players reside here. I hope you have found us to be (mostly:)) well behaved. Vice the man who developed and programmed this game has enabled alot of us to get a taste of our dreams of exploring space and beyond. He is also active in the community and not just a name on the Credits List.

We strive to have fun and enjoy each other's company when we are online. Cindy is an excellent player. I've only met Kat once and I was online for a short period of time.

I'm sure if you have ANY issues there will be more than one Reputable member who is willing to address the issue and offer a soloution.;):)

Greetings TheMom, welcome to the forum. My wife also suffers from Vertigo. So I kind of know what it is like what your girls are going through not having someone you love to enjoy this game with! Again Welcome! By the way the 2 of them are trouble enough actually double trouble in a good way! I wonder though if you did not suffer from vertigo if it would have been triple trouble....;):P:cool:

Oh Good. Dingo and I were trying to convince Cindy to let you on the forum. We told her you just wanted to make sure your girls were safe. Dont blame you, I do the same with my grandkids.

So dont worry, there are a few eyes and ears making sure the game is PG and the girls can continue causing their own brand of chaos in safety.

What a great welcome! :)

Cindy has told me so much about each an every one of you. There are a few that I sort of expected a hello from, but they may be a little busy at the moment...

I have really appreciated the support that every one here has offered my children - and very much appreciate the respect that everyone shows by changing "normal" conversations into PG ones for the young ladies.

I know that there have been a few emotional ups and downs here and am glad to know that you fellows... maybe don't "understand", but "tolerate" them. Teenage years are delicate, as most of you know, and social structure becomes of paramount importance. Since we home school and do not get much non-family social interaction, this universe has become Cindy's home away from home (Kat has a different outlet, though enjoys her time here as well). Both girls are learning the same social skills that they would learn in the "real" world - you can have fun with your friends, but sometimes they'll say/do things that you don't appreciate, you'll run into some bullies, there will be some "friends" that you find truly are not friends, and there will be the real heroes that you can always count on. And, as in the "real" world, it is my job to monitor what's going on in their lives (I am so glad that they tell me!) and it is nice to have help with that job. Thanks. :)

Welcome to the forum TheMom. I somehow missed your first post.

If nothing else your kids keep things "interesting" :D

The trick is to get involved in a community and still remember that it is a game!

Wow, praise indeed! Welcome "Mom". Can I call you "Mom"? ;)

Your girls are a great addition to our playground and always make thing fun. I am not sure if we keep an eye out for them because we are kind people or because we just don't want to get on the wrong side of them!

It is nice to see "the olds" getting involved in what their kids are doing, especially on-line. I have a 6 year old at the moment and already he is asking for facebook and email accounts!

Anyways, I prattle. All you need to do now (appart from the normal real life things) is to convince Kat and Cindy that BA are in fact the boys to fly with! We are the most friendly and honest pilots out in this part of space and can be trusted far more than him above me! lol :D (sorry Dingbat ;) )

No Offense taken Bossk, with a clan name like "Bad Aliens" what's not to trust?

Just don't ask him to water your geraniums while you are away!

They were dead when I got there! Honest! How many time do we have to go over this. I did not eat/kill/boil down for stew/feed to Dengar or any of the other things I have been accused of doing to those geraniums. Anyway, I much prefer Sunflowers!

Why, oh why wont you just believe me! <walks away with tears to go and sulk>:(

Bossk: lol No, I think Cindy and Kat are best as a "lone" clan. They've tried being a part of several clans, but *something* always happens.

To no one in particular: At the moment, if I could fly, I would happily annihilate a pilot or two myself. Since I can't, I guess it would be best to let Cindy fight her own battles - it sounds like she's awfully good at it! "TheMom" (also known as "shebear" in other communities) is rather irritated at someone suggesting that she is a spoiled brat that always wants to be the center of attention - after spending weeks spouting praises about how wonderful she is! :p

Hahaha, thanks for the laugh, Bossk.

Welcome to the forums, TheMom! I don't do much flying anymore, but when I did I appreciated the dynamics your girls added to the universe.

Far be it from me, Marv, to lecture upon things gramatical. "Y'all" is a colloquialism. Rendered in singular, as well as plural. If'n I wanted to include a group, I'd say "all y'all". Pluralality. Singularity, "y'all" is germain, and inclusive. :P

ok, I'm over it. The waters are cooling after the fiery crash. All can fly at peace with no fear of miss-isles from me today ;)
