Hello Coolio, the best advice I can give at this time is, Give it time. We all have to learn as we go and it does take awhile on some missions. Keep trying and soon you will be great at it. Welcome to the forum and hopefully the Sims. Have fun and hope to see you in Multi-Player sometime in the future.:)

Use inertial mode and speed above 1400(missiles can not hit you at above that speed) keep a 700-750 distance from enemy while firing your weapons. Use missiles as much as possible and reload and repair when ever possible. Take 1 or 2 out by yourself with missiles if possible and order your squadron to attack the rest while you go reload repair. help your squadron out after reloading repair of what is left of the enemy and order your squadron to reload repair and do your self again if necesary then you and your squadran what is left are ready for the second wave! Oh yes, also use wedge formation seems to work better in most cases.....;)

 For Arvoch Alliance, you need to go out and meet the enemy ... unless they come knocking at your carrier door. Use the "[" and "]" keys to increase your energy output. Point toward your chosen target (offset about half a pipper-width), engage inertial, and hit the afterburner 'till you reach that 1400 mark. Fire one or two missiles when locked on and in range. Then use your cannons and laser, maintaining inertial but swinging your ship to keep the target in the pipper. When at about 2000 in range, disengage inertial, point at the next target ... and do it all over again until you're out of missiles. Then return to the carrier to re-arm.

 While doing all this, keep an eye on your wingmen and send them back to the carrier when they've taken damage.

Yes there is away!

Set a way point behind the carier and order your wingman to wait at waypoint you have set then destroy all enemies by your self by reloading and constantly repairing when needed! When your done order your squadron to form up and dock at the carrier and every one and the squadrons family will be happy and you'll be proud you accomplished the mission all by your self!.....;):P:P:P:P:P

 Something like what Maars said. Only I usually drag the last three enemy fighters within range of my wingmen. They can handle that many AI.
