[EM] cant see anyone after 2 min

help me plz.. driving me nuts!!!

heres my problem:
i connect to server all is well.. i see everyone for two minutes or so, then poff! all dissaperes. but i,m still on the server??!!
i can talk to everyone, but just cant see them.
i tried setting ports in my router/modem. nothing.. still the same.. removed ports.. same thing,,

i checked my net.. all is fine,its all working fine...
plz help.. driving me nuts this. i cant join in coop or anything,

You're losing your UDP connection to the server, so all gamestate is getting dropped. You'll need to determine why your UDP connection is getting disabled after the two minutes on your system. Such a problem could either be easy or difficult to pin down. Make sure your connection is not being used for anything else while you play and check your security programs/firewalls for possible interference or settings that are effecting the connection. If you'd like help from forum users, post your system specs, including the list of running background programs and any security programs you have installed.

What do you see for your Updaterate, Ping and frame rate when presssing the ~ Key when all players disappear and what do you see for the Server's Updaterate?

well ,, ping is steady at 150

havent noticed the other fellas,

funny thing is, when i use UDP the guys dissapere in like 1 min, if i set it to both (in port 3889) i can see the guys for like 10 min or so,

my specs is:
intel I7 quad core

8 gig RAM
graphic card :Ati Radeon 5800

WIN7 64 bit

i run antivir for virus protection .
fw is defualt(win7)
and router/modem is:Thomson TG789vn
iset the fw to allow Evocron.
and router i set :TCP 3888 and for port 3889 i set ANY, cos if i use UDP i loose u guys in a min.

i tried everything.
this is really buggin me. i really need help here.
i would love to go online and play with seejay and the rest, cus i could use some help with some contracts and stuff.. but is it is now , its hopeless.=(
there is really no use for me to join any clan and stuff untill this is solved. cos i REALLY love this game.

Hello, I turn my anti-virus off for most MP games as it has a tendency to interfere at some point or other. In This Sim you have little to worry about as far as a cyber attack while playing. Other than that I am at a loss but best wishes on finding a cure. As an after thought, others locations are not critical to game play at most times.

Since you were able to cause a change in the behavior by changing port settings on your router, I would suggest you focus your search on your router. You may have a bad router or particular setting(s) that are impacting connection reliability.

One step you might be able to try is bypassing your router entirely and connect directly to you modem. Then connect in multiplayer and test for changes.

i cant bypass my router since it is my modem aswell.
but, i narrowed it down to a router issue for sure,
did some reading on my router, there is a bug in software, so it wont open certan ports, not sure how that will impact on my ports tho, and i tried to turn of the firewall in my router,, but that wasnt possible,,weird, but been online for 20 min now and can still see other players.. so i must have done something right,, =)
the searvch and hunt for my ports issues goes on=)

I am truly and utterly confused and sad,

i turned of firewall in router,, turned of FW in WIN7, nothing helps.. game still goes crazy on me.
ports are ok, nothing,
after 5min it all are gone again. "sigh":(:(

anyway leaving tomorra and wont be back untill X-mas eve. so gives me a couple of days to figure out what the h***, is going on here.

I read somewhere that they torned off uPnP.
Have you tried that?

Check also portforward.com
Open ports helped WoW players using that site.

Also, many people ended up changing router and then it works as it should!
