Hat assignments - Help Please?

I am currently using a logitech joystick/gamepad combo.
I can only select Device1(joystick) hat assignment or Device2(gamepad) hat assignment. Is there any way to assign the function(s) I want to both at once?

Depends on the type of HAT control. For rotational/angular HAT input, only one can be assigned at a time for that input system. But if the HAT control returns static on/off button inputs (ie Saitek X series secondary HAT), then you can use the key/button mapping options to assign functions to them.

I'm guessing by the way my improvised joystick/gamepad combo behaves, the answer for me is no.

Through reading various posts though, I have begun to tinker more with the Profiler software that came with the controllers.
Maybe I can improvise something to work in there...
