Hi all,

Very recently I have decided to start my own online business in graphical design. I will specialize in digital logo design at first, and expand my services depending on the demand I get from the customers.
Preparations are underway; the company logo is ready, I have determined a marketing strategy and the website is under development, of which I'm doing the graphical design myself.

This is one of the reasons why I have been extremely slow with getting some of the requests done here on the forum (Sorry again guys). I don't have a lot of free time to start with and as you can imagine, setting up the business is taking up all of it and then some.

Therefor, I have to put requests for graphics on the forum on hold for the time being. I simply can't find the time to accommodate the requests and do a good job at it. And I really hate to just slap something together.

I will still finish the two remaining requests: DaveS' signature and Busch' avatar, in that order. I will try to finish those over this weekend, you guys have been waiting for too long as it is.

Thank you kindly for your interest. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to take on any requests for sigs and avy's at this time. As I posted a couple of posts up, I am in the middle of setting up my own online business in graphic designs. At the moment I'm working on designing the site. Having to do this next to my regular day job, and building a new house for the missus and myself in the evenings (I'm in construction), leaves me with absolutely no time left to do any graphical work right now. In fact, I haven't even had time to play the game.

I'm very sorry to have to disappoint you, but I won't make any promises I know I won't be able to keep. I will however remember your request, and if you're still interested by that time, I'll definitely make you a nice siggy and avy when the company is up and running and things have settled down a bit. With chocolate topping, if I can manage it lol.

Wholeheartedly understood.

You are a very busy man indeed. Having grown up around tradesmen and currently attending a tech college for carpentry myself, I have somewhat of a clue of what it might be like for you. Your artwork is amazing, and being able to push this kind of creativity out of your body - while working in such a tough trade, managing a family, and starting a business - WOW!!

Good luck with your bussiness btw. I'm sure your services will come into high demand! Thanx for your reply and like I said, I'll be sticking around, so no hurry.

Awesome! I'm a carpenter myself, although nowadays I'm in (aluminum) curtain walls and doors/windows, which was not a voluntary option for me. I have always had a very weak spot for wood though (something pure about it I can't explain), and for a long time I have been contemplating starting a business in building custom projects from rough wood (big oak and other sorts of beams etc). However I am not in the financial position to make the necessary investments at this time, and I don't think that will change a lot in the nearby future. Luckily I had another big hobby - graphic design. And although it was only that - a hobby, after Vice asked me to do the new AA logo, I realized that there might actually be an opportunity for me there. Seeing that it hardly requires any investments at all (just a computer, which I obviously have, and a website, of which I can do the design myself) I decided to take my chances.

I thank you for your very kind words. We'll see where it goes. Ultimately I strive to be able to do it full-time and make a living out of it, and leave the construction world behind so I can work from my home. I have a couple of plans that will hopefully help me achieve just that. All I need is a bit of luck.
