Evochron Mercenary - Text Display Problem

Hello,

I have now bought on impulse the game. My problem is that all screen texts in the options menu in game and on each lobe and mutilated. It is impossible to adjust something (See screenshots). i can not play the game.
I've installed WindowsXP and the latest video card drivers.

Intel Core2 Quad Q8300 2.50GHz, 4GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 9400GT

Looks like the scaling setting could not be saved and/or loaded for some reason. First thing I'd recommend is make sure the game has permission to save data to your hard drive. Then verify there is a 'sw.cfg' file present in the save data folder (default c:\\sw3dg\\EvochronMercenary). If those things check out, then send me your sw.cfg file attached to an e-mail along with the profile you are using (usually pilot0.sw).

Hello darkfuneral, wow now thats different. Vice is on it so all will end up good.

Hello,

Thank you I was so kindly received in the community. I know now to solve my problems. The error was caused because I have I installed the German language pack before the first start of the game. After I EvochronMercenary in the folder C: have deleted and then reinstalled the game have now everything is as it should be.

The game is very great fun. I currently earn some money with moon mining for a better ship.

Hey there I was interested in buying Merc. so I downloaded the latest version to try it out but then found I cant select anything probably as my screenshot will show.

I have tried this game before at my friends house and loved it but want to see what it would look like on my own PC.

Can anyone help at all with this?

Thanks you so much for your quick reply and help I managed to get it running.

I tried re-installing a few times with no luck ( I had no idea there was anything on C: as I installed it on G: )

There wasn't a sw.cfg in C:\\ so I uninstalled the game from my external drive and deleted everything there then re-installed, now everything is working perfectly.

Thanks again and sorry to trouble you, can't wait to see how it looks and runs on my PC :-)
