[EM] Runtiem Error 3002 - Could not Load sound at Line 65898 *FIXED*

Recently just purchased Evochron Mercenary and have been experiencing this error constantly ive tried all of the fixes on this forum and none have worked i will be sending a copy of my sysinfo within the next few minutes of this post thank you.

Your e-mail does not currently work apparently, my reply attempts to you were bounced back. Here are my suggestions:

This error seems to happen on occasion when a system's codecs get corrupted, damaged, or replaced by invalid/problematic codecs. It may also be caused by external interference from other programs running in the background. Here are a few things to try:

- If you got the game from a source other than my website, download and install the latest build available here: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmerce ... nloads.htm
- Launch the game as an administrator and test for different results. To do this, right click on the game's desktop icon, then left click on 'Run as administrator'.
- If it is determined to be a codec issue, often restoring the system back to a date prior to the codec problem can get the game to work.

My email is [removed] the one i used to register was free but restricted i used it just because my current one is allready in use here and i dont have my account info ive allready sent it jsut respond at that email and i did downlaod the installer from this site still the same thing.

How can i pull upa list that i can actually send you i have a program but it doesnt allow me to take any copies of them

Wait could Roxio interfere with the game because on the list it has a large portion of codecs dealing with all file types

I'm not sure one that one, but if new/different codecs were installed, it could have a potential effect. I noticed the Windows error log had a huge list of crashes in other games as well. Were those crashes similar to this one?

Another step you could try is installing the K-Lite codec pack, which provides a number of useful codecs for major formats. MajorGeeks offers a download here: http://majorgeeks.com/K-Lite_Codec_Pack ... d5228.html

You can always uninistall it later if it doesn't work or you don't want the codecs.

Those crashes probably came from Shogun 2 that game is so unstable its not even fun anymore i found one more backup in Alien Respawn trying it now and ill see if not then ill try that codec pack and i was online before but i had to move stuff to my laptop because I've been on the move lately plus this would make the game run beautiful. Ill let you know if i get it running or not betting it was my sound blaster when i update its driver.

Fixed and working wonderfully except the part where i jumped in atmosphere looks like it was not my roxio codecs they actually helped a few others from going out computer has been restored to fresh install, and before i go online is romulan still around not fun without him?

According to MMaggio, Romulan moved to someplace without decent Internet. There are numerous others who have taken up his gauntlet, though. They show up about as often as Rommie did in EL.
