New Frames & Inventory Console Features
Probably already mentioned some time earlier in this thread, but I would like to see settings like your IDS multiplier (and I think the shield/weapons power augment as well and possibly some other settings I can't recall right now) saved when you log off, so that they are the way you left them next time you log on.
And in another thread I read that someone (think it was DaveK) would like to have different HUDs for each of his ships available, which I think would be a really cool idea.

The HUD Idea you can already kind of do. Just create a folder and the files for the different HUDS you wat to use for each ship and before you load the game decide which HUD you want to use and put those HUD files in the Games folder for that session......

Actually, that would be a great edition to Merc as it sounds like something that would be relatively unintrusive to the gameplay.From post: 112309, Topic: tid=7616, author=DaveK wrote: I don't think so, but what it does do is put all the waypoints into your Nav screen map log section do you just have to click on each waypoint in turn to and hit autopilot again to get the next gate - OK not fully auto but pretty close;
In the Map Log area it would be nice to be able to click a button marked "Turn into Waypoint". Then someone could select a number of coordinates and turn them each into waypoints in order of being clicked.
Vice might be able to use the same code for the autopilot that is used for mission waypoints. As soon as your ship arrives at each waypoint, the waypoint status for that node is dropped in the Map Log.

I would love that but if this was to happen, then we would need to have the map kind of redone. Like the current settings show about 10x10 (I doubt that number is right) sector on the map. If the area you want to go to be beyond that, like another system, then your out of luck. From post: 112345, Topic: tid=7616, author=XB7 wrote: Actually, that would be a great edition to Merc as it sounds like something that would be relatively unintrusive to the gameplay.

I think a way to make this idea to work is by being able to click on the system map as you do now, but you should be able to click on a system which pulls up info on the planets, stations, and gates. This away you can select the gate you want to use to make a way point. The only problem with this method is sooner or later people will want to be able to have the auto pilot make way points gate to gate by itself.
However, I think this way point idea would be great for missions. Like it would be cool to pull up the map and make way points for missions. For example: if you need to take a short break from the fight, you can make a way point going to the station, then to the mission, or even have your way out of a mission already set up by a way point before you jump in a mission.

In Freelancer you can zoom out to the universe map (I believe it's called sector map here?), click on the system you want to go to so the map zooms in on that system, then click on the location within that system you want to head for, and select 'set best path'. Only thing you need to do then is hit the autopilot and it takes you there. In Freelancer you still have to manually give the dock command to jump gates, and hit your cruise engines to get to the next waypoint though. Wouldn't it be possible to do the same for Evochron, and then also have it jump the gates automatically and engaging the jump drive again when you pop out on the other side, all the way to your destination?
I have played Freelancer for years, and to tell you the truth I can't say I have missed this feature in Evochron yet, but I do think it would be a very cool addition!
When U edit your posts U can erase the old "edited by" so that only one (the new one generated automaticly) shows as I did with this post

ya but the problem with the atollski is you have to mod it. if someone isn't active here or someone like me that can't seem to get the mods to work is out of luck. However if it's built in the game then everyone would have it no matter what.

Yep - that's what I do - but it would be cool to swap from my civi to military frame within the game and have the relevant HUD showingFrom post: 112335, Topic: tid=7616, author=Maarschalk wrote:The HUD Idea you can already kind of do. Hi, first of all sorry for my bad English
, second, what i would like to see is more variety in missions, if it is possible.
Underground, criminal hit and run missions
Example, assassination missions where you must go to system xyz and on station or planet
wait and kill specific person who is a diplomat, rich businessmen or whatever (with or without escort depend of difficulty), who will be there for a specific time period and then leave forever, and maybe pick cargo (artifact, documents, etc.) that he left behind when killed and then return to station, planet or specific ship.
Destroy mission
Example, destroy communication satellites (how many depends of difficulty) in the orbit of some planet without being detected and caught (you must look for the patrol routes of enemy and stuff), or intercept and destroy convoy before time runs out, or kill all miner ships in asteroid field before patrol arrives.
Spy missions
Example, follow specific ship to the meeting point (speed and distance is important) where you must remain undetected, and than from the specific place record the meeting session (you will need special equipment for that), or steal cargo before other ship pick it up and run away.
I could go on but this is enough, for now, again sorry for my bad English.
Thanks

I would really love just one thing .....make player owned stations a diff colour and iff poss make them selectable in nav map.
Im fed up with just light blue spam that means i cant see the real stations that i am looking for

I think that is an excellent idea. But an easier way might be just to add some kind of "flag" or mark just for game generated stations, ergo all others are player built!
That would make them easily identifiable on the nav map w/o having to jump all over the place.

As long as it is clear on the Nav map that the player build stations look different. If you are completely zoomed out you might not be able to distinguish the difference if they are the same color. From post: 112522, Topic: tid=7616, author=Marvin wrote:Or just set one station design aside, to be used only for player-builds.

I don't know if it's been posted, but something that would add to the atmosphere is more com chatter, some being directed at the player, things like cargo bay scanning, maybe some welcoming message to sectors, enemy chatter, things like that. I know it would require more voice work, but I'm sure there are people in this forum who wouldn't mind donating their voice to something like that if it were added.

Expanded contract variety, also possibly clan specific contracts that go beyond monetary rewards, dynamically generated based on territorial control, clan activity, pvp etc. Independent pilots who arent in a clan can do allied contracts to support a clan by doing contracts specifically made to support clan efforts in multiplayer whether to do a supply run, pvp, station destruction and more. Im sure you understand where Im going with this.

So for some scenarios of the idea I'm talking about, for example lets say we have a busy day on R1 with lots of clan members and indie pilots alike. In this scenario we have clan HB, SW, BA, TER, and several indie pilots. Looking at the quadrant map, SW has lots of territory gained, ok so each station will generate contracts to destroy SW stations or pvp their pilots. Cash reward upon completion. At the same time, indie pilots can participate on the fun and do contracts to support a specific clan based on who is online, contracts can be anything from bounty hunting clan pilots, station destruction, trade supply runs, station building to support clan territory gain etc. Cash reward again upon completion. Im sure you guys have your own unique contract ideas too but these are just some examples. The vast majority of us embrace multiplayer and this will make multiplayer fun and exciting and I truly believe in the clan system even though
it had its ups and downs a few months ago. Just think of all the fun clan wars, pvp battles and a sense of community we can have with this feature!

Having tested out the faction reputation standings online now, it would be neat if they persisted at least, even if the overall region rep doesn't upgrade.
Having the rep count for something more online (or at least for something by persisting) would be useful.

Here's one: the ability to contact players in-game through private channels, so not all the players HAVE to read your chatter.

Oh nice, didn't know that. However, I think it would be even better if you would be able to do it without the other player having to be in targeting range. I think I read that there is a private channel for clan members to chat with each other - but I might have misread it or perhaps it was just a request! It wouldn't be ever so ssecure if a "spy" logged in as a clan member
