Does anyone know where to get New York Race? It's an old race game (2001?) that sort of disappeared shortly after it was published. I tried Amazon, but no dice.

I did get Beam Breakers, which is a fun game, but I should have picked up NYR when I had the chance. Now I am afraid I will never get it.

Try Wickipedia. I found a short history of the game and a link to IGN. Nothing on Ebay, tho.

Another similar game I got was Bounty Hunter. The problem, though, is that it won't play on my modern computer. It's sad. I've had it for years, but I never got to play it.

Download VMware and install any windows that would let it run on it.
Or if you know how dual boot works you could install both your current OS + another OS.

Niekvdm,

That's an interesting idea, and one that I have considered. However, would it use hardware acceleration? I think the problem is probably with the graphics card drivers, rather than the OS, but I could be wrong. How would you configure the VM to have the proper hardware?

You are right about Video cards Nigel. Some higher end cards just will not play slower games no matter how you coax them.
Best to try and see.
That's why I have 5 PC's here, all networked and using every OS, including DOS, so I can play any game in any format!
But then, that's just me. :P
