I am considering adding Google Checkout as a payment option for SW3DG games and I would like to hear about your experience and interest in using it. Specifically, these questions:
- Have you used Google Checkout before and if so, is it a method you prefer to use to make payments over the internet? If so, why?
- How does Google Checkout compare to PayPal in your experience?
- Any concerns or drawbacks you've encountered when using Google Checkout in the past?

Google Checkout?
I've used Google Checkout without any problems. Fast and convenient - good for impulse purchases if you think that's a good thing.

Google Checkout?
Same here. No problem when using it.
The link with my other google accounts (like android market) is the main reason for me to use gCheckout, and it is as convenient as Paypal : user friendly, fast, no safety problem.
Paypal is the most popular... but gCheckout is also a good option

Google Checkout?
Never tried Google Checkout, didn't even know it existed! But, I do use Paypal frequently, with no problems.
What I like about Paypal is that I don't have to lug my credit cards to the computer screen every time that I make an on-line purchase. Also, from a sellers point of view, if you have Paypal installed, it gives potential purchasers the ability to make snap purchases, rather than leaving it to later (or never) until they fetch a credit card.

Didn't know Google even had a "Checkout", but I'm not surprised.
I am sure it is as safe, quick & reliable as PayPal and I would have no problem using it.

It's well done, like many other services and softwares "made in google".
Their policy on privacy is debatable, but not the quality of their services
Anyway, I think Paypal is the best choice (more popular) and Evochron already has it, but add a "gCheckout" option is not a bad thing.

Google Checkout?
I forgot to mention that Google tracks both customers and sellers and keeps a record of everything you buy, sell, look at, search, etc.
If you have one of those phones that allows access to Google, they even track and save where you go.
I don't know what they do with this information and it may seem harmless for them to keep it, but I find it very, "Orwellian"!

Apple and Google (and surely MS) don't track their customers phones, but their customer's phones.
And it's not your location stored in the phone, but the location of all "network antennas" that the phone has used... and (if we can believe Apple and Google) these datas are recorded for optimization (easier to retrieve connection from an antenna you have already used... or something like that, don't know exactly).
So, yes some datas are stored in the phone, like in your PC when you are on the web (cookies and so)...
But except for more sighted ads (based on your location) or network optimization (as I say just above), I don' see why they would keep these antenna locations for each user
But sorry for the parenthesis, it is not the subject
For Google Checkout, I think they keep traces of everything you sell/buy, for the secutity (like Paypal).
And sorry for my english

Google Checkout?
We pedant's need to stick together: Actually it's not data - it's datum (singular), data (plural) though data has become acceptable for the singular as well - datas as the plural is going too far - when it becomes the singular as well as the plural form, as it will, then we'll end up with datass (pronounced "date - ass" or "data - aziz") - where will it all end?

I use PayPal a lot - no problems as a seller or a buyer; however as a seller I get stung (£££) and PayPal are threatening to increase their charges even more. How much do Google charge the seller? In terms of data collection, when we are talking about my financial data I think that security does matter - a lot; you have to give card details to PayPal to back up your account if it doesn't have sufficient funds.
