Quest Job #3

I have an odd problem with the third job in the first quest -
New Hope. I'm told to go to the station orbiting Erato II where I am to get a contract to clean a solar array. However, when I get there, there is no such contract. In case I misunderstood, I also traveled to the main port in Erato II, but the solar array quest does'nt show up there either. Am I missing something?

If it's the third part of the Quest, make sure you're in sector -7, 0, 4.

Also view last quest message to make sure and scroll trough all available contracts if it is not there leave sector and re enter sector and dock at Station. Repeat till the contract shows up. The game cycles through the different contracts so sometimes it takes a while for the Solar Array cleaning contract to pop up....

Thanks a lot guys! Your advice did the trick. I'm a new guy and I didn't realize that the correct station was on the other side of the planet!

having trouble on same quest... got the quest, jumped to nav point... cleaned all the panels on the array but then nothing happened.

Figured maybe it is not the only array...
so I clicked the nav map highlighted objectives... and it had a bunch of other purple markers... so tried to jump to another and it said failed....

Only been playing the game for a few hours... so good chance it is due to my noobism....

also quick question... I have no mic or headphones right now, does that matter or can I still play on-line with no voice chat capabilities (insert question mark.... just spilled pop on the keyboard... some keys do not seem to work anymore... like question mark.... )

Make sure all the pannels are clean, there are several layers to clean so you missed 1 or more to the final layer of cleansing.

Hi NFW.

You don't need speak to play online.
(I have it but if I use it, my sleeping wife will wake up and hunt me down, sleeps next door, LOL)

About the quest.
The waypoint for your contract is set automatically when you accept it. You just hit jump.
On your navmap it's plotted as a blue box if you're lost!;) (All contracts are a blue box)
If you leave the sector the contract is in, it automatically fails, so don't leave it.

It seems that you missed a spot when you cleaned it. You need to stay on each square for at least 1 sec
to clean it properly. It's easy to see if you are close to the panel.

Jump online and you'll get a lot of help;)

Yep you guys were right... didn't realize there were different levels of "clean" lol

Was online for a bit tonight, errr actually I'm online right now in another window mining... figure a good time to alt tab and look up some stuff in the help manual.

Anyways I'm still a noob but great game! Good name for it too... Rolls of the tongue a lot easier then calling it something like "the-game-that-is-everything-you-hoped-freelancer-would-be-but-wasn't-and-so-much-more-!!!"

I gotta make myself a sig and avatar for this forum...
