Just as the topic implies. I first downloaded Star Wraith 3D from http://www.caiman.us in the flight sim section back when I was really into flight sims. I then revisited the site, and redownloaded the game because I whacked my hardrive with a giant magnet from science class my senior year in 2008. I clicked the wrong link and it took me to this sight. It was this year that I decided to start an account.

Hi F4SHADO.

I'm an old Freelancer player and loved that one, even thou it was linear and not that open
as I would like.

I Google'd around last summer (2010) to see if there was any new game that was similar and
found this great game in one of the links I tested. Got hooked and bought Legends, only to
find out that within a couple of weeks there will be a new release, Mercenary. I bought it on
release day, since I just fell in love with the Evochron Universe/Game.:P

I'm sleeping most of my time at work nowadays so I can play when I'm at home.
I totally blame Vice for this. LOL

Well I came across evochron merc when I was madly hunting for a game that had a lot of other space sim properties in it and turns out that Evo Merc best matched the description in he few forum threads it appeared in.. was very hard to come across.. really isn't much out there about it which is a surprise considering how good it is and how active the development of it is.

I found Evochron Renegades long time ago using google too.

At that time, my hair was yellowish. Now, brown!???

May be due to the effects of lasers. :)

I was a massive fan of X Wing/Tie Fighter, then the whole of the X series. I bought a TrackIR for DCS Black Shark and had a look to see if any space games were supported, which led me neatly to Evochron. And I haven't been disappointed!

I found a 'Best Space Sim' thread over on SimHQ that listed Evochron Legends as a winner while searching for something to supplement Jane's F/A-18 and the Freespace 2 SCP varients I'd been playing for the last year or so.

I got the EL demo, played for an hour, said "Great Googely!, what a gem!", purchased it. Had piles of fun for two weeks until EM was released, Said "Great Googely! It gets even better...?!!!" and promptly purchased EM.

Been flying in EM exclusively ever since...

 No ... I think it was the gin.

Edit: Btw, this character here ...

... was nicknamed ALF (alien life form) but his "real" name was Gordon Shumway. Compare his profile to the label on a bottle of Gordon's Gin.

Learned about the game on Impulse. Bought it as soon as I read the info on it. I had been looking for such a game since the original Privateer. Very happy I did - great game! I even grabbed an old Attack 3 joystick out of a bargain bin at Staples to use as I hadn't played a flight\\space sim in years.
