[EM] - Runtime Error 3002 - Could not load sound at line 66445 *FIXED*

Post by protoast »

Every time I start Evochron Mercenary it will play the video, go to the load a pilot screen, and as soon as you select a pilot and hit load, "Runtime Error 3002 - Could not load sound at line 66445" shows up. I have read and tried everything listed at

http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8980

but all with no avail. The thread previous mentioned didn't really give an exact answer, so I'm not quite sure where to move on from here. Thanks for reading and your suggestions,

Try the steps in the first post in this section of the forum:

http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9308

The cause has been narrowed down to be corrupt/damaged or missing standard Windows audio codec files, at least in most cases so far. One or more of the steps in that post should solve it. If not, follow the steps here and I can review your system for other possible options: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmercenary/faq.htm#8

Ugh, yes, I can't believe I posted before checking the absolute first post in the section. Working great now that I read it. I apologize for my lack of forethought, feel free to delete the thread.

No problem, glad you got it sorted. Was it a registry issue in your case or did you have to install the standard Windows codec(s)?
