LOL, maybe not the end of diamond trade. By the time we have the technology and resources to reach that planet, it's system might have gone supernova or swallowed by a black whole.....or the cost of getting there and mining the planet is prohibitted enough not to make it worth while!....

Earth would be a good candidiate - it's already got a metal ring around it.
