good advice, marvin. i have SeeJay and co on screen.
for the scripting: that would be nice. your skills will come handy once looking at the whole game.
as i wrote: lets see. the cockpit seems to be a good start (its there.. and its complex and simple enough at the same time).
the blog functions are an alternative to forum-style. tagging and categories allow some nice navigation beside a search, imo. if it gets people forward and isn't just a waste of time,.. time will show. i tested several cms systems, as yoomla,.. other forums.. the simplicity of wordpress totally got me.

there may come that point, where i allow more authors with independent access. once there, this project will get a dedicated (sub)domain- at least- and i'll remove my personal stuff.
(its sad, but it matters: as soon as you do not act anonymously, you have to follow some laws and rules, which depend on the country you (rather your server) resides. i have to read things up here before beeing able to be as uncomplicated as i'd like to be without some shark biting my you know what)
the other way round is imaginable too. providing webspace and pre-configured frameworks so you can polish your egos and go public with your very personal (non commercial) work is imaginable: be it writing, drawing, music or how to get rid of zombies squatting your house. am currently evaluating that with people i know personally. i have no facebook account, you know. and this is not going to change. ;)

regarding the expansion: its thoughts i twisted, too. i also asked vice.
how ever evochron developes: a good portion of cg-basics won't change that soon - neither for evochron nor any other game. and the people interested will adopt. i'm confident. so will the mods. it is no wasted time.

leto, old cowboy: i'd like to keep it technical. how to play the game is another construction site - and its not mine. (:

Hi Letoras.

There are several Tutorial videos here (including combat):

They might help a bit!

Believe monsie SeeJay i have seen the videos and really helped. I was thinking of a video from the outside (not piloting), to make more clear how to approach an enemy, etc.
This is a wrong thread to talk about that, really sorry ljon.
I will try to make a visualization with a 2d animation..

no worries. i used images in eve for my wingmen when it came to briefing. (: not as much effort.
most maneuvers can be broken down into a few steps: approach, attack, retreat. and the variety of tactics here is limited.

Does Anyone have a File to ELIMINATE the Reflection from the ccpit.x Screens? I Can't See them when Flying.

 Naturally, the file is for a different cockpit ... but, if you compare the Perch's version against the mod to Max's, hopefully you can discover which part gets rid of the glare and adapt it to the Perch.

DAMN. Thats What I Thought. I Have a reflect file that Cancels the GLARE from the Screens in MAXs COCKPIT but Used in the PERCH there is a LARGE COCKPIT SHADOW within the File.

Never noticed any glare then again I only use the invisible cockpit mode for perch mainly because of the shield impact effects.:D

ijon. I LOVE THE PERCH with ONE EXCEPTION. As You can See the HUD TEXT Appears on the Lower 2 Struts. Is There Any Way you Could Move those Struts, the 2 Bottom Ones, In Toward the Gunsight just a Little so the Hud Text Doesn't Show on Them?

Thanks My Friend.

@letoras. I Checked With VICE. These HUD Text Indicators are FIXED and Can't be Moved. Thanks for taking an Interest Though My Friend. I Know it Seems like a Small think but in PvP it Would Really Help to have the HUD TEXT more Visible.

the problem is, i can currently neither walk nor sit for long. managed to royally screw my back. (its getting better)

let me get these threads together:
your perch post: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9419

now.. the uvs.
look at this: http://s7.directupload.net/file/d/2920/tidxrctk_jpg.htm
thats the boardcomputer (spartan) flattened.(1024x1024)
all 3 gauges share the same background.
atm those are positioned at the centerscreen of the spartan.

read the unwrapping part here for a better understanding:
http://ijon.suppnetz.de/?p=199

and finally here is one uv scheme i sent leto when we built that thing: it shows, where which part of the outer frame can be found:
http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/2920/wi4h2sdv_jpg.htm
(2048x2048)
you can download that image and slap it as layer on the basemap.jpg and cutout the lower left.
also use the tools i linked. nothing to be afraid of. (:

i hope that helps. once i'm restored you'll get that for the whole cockpit.

raw-style all in template:
http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/2920/e75cjlsf_jpg.htm
its not entirely correct. some faces got changed after making this; ntl after putting this over the basemap you have a rough guide.

What i do in a case when i want to change an image of the hud my mod does not have it (like perch uses the default inticators right now) i search other mods where that element has changes, take the image, work on that one.
King Arthur you're "pimp my cockpit" project is fantastic!!!!

p.s. Will search as soon as i go to my evomachine (game installed, evo-downloads, evo-experiments, etc.)
