How to Respond to a Distress Call in Singleplayer?

I'm just 3 hrs into the game. I've had several distress calls and I've tried everything but there was no way to respond to the system saying I'm responding to the distress call... then it expires. I Googled this topic but no help! So how do you respond to a distress call / what keys do you press to signify you'll handle the call?

You do not have to do anything to acknowledge the distress call. All you have to do is take what ever it is that is needed to the destination coordinates and if you are the first and complete the request by delivering the needed items to the requested destination within the time limit you will receive the credits!....

Yes, to make it more chalenging. Like any emergency you have limited time to save lives. The dead can not give you credits.....

You may not be able to reach some of them in time. But one way you can be prepared is to preload your cargo bay with the most common requested materials for distress calls. Then you'll be ready and won't have to stop along the way trying to pick up what you need, you can just fly to the destination and deliver the items.

You could start an Emergency response Clan and have each clan member loaded with different emergency supplies respond when ever appropriate....

My question is how do I find where the Distress Call is coming from. Is there something I'm looking for on my nav map?

The distress call comes from the pilot or planet in distress. If it's a planet, you will be told its name. If it's a pilot, you will be given coordinates. Btw, the easiest missions are the "pilot in distress" ones where you don't need to bring anything with you. Just get to the coordinates in time, target the pilot in distress, and press F4.

Also I forgot to mention that you will not receive distress signals if you have turned the feature to receive distress signals of!......
