Unless something's changed in the past couple of months, this mod does not work with 2.xxx EM. The shipe are much bigger now. I tried it and found out first hand.

I wish it would be updated for 2.xxx. Actually I'd like to see some Homeworld 2 ships migrated over to EM but I know that's doubtful if not impossible.

Actual cap ships already looks really good so I dunno if there still is the need for such a mod.

The new cap ships look better than this mode IMO, But maybe someone could make even better looking ones.

Hola.

I've working in a Arvoch Alliance Custom Campaign and those ships are great for this...

But don't Work :(

There any option to continue the work for Arvoch Alliance & EM2?

Which ships are you talking about? Most of the AA ships have already been transported to the EM expansion. In fact, even the AA cockpit is available.

Marvin, i talk about this cap ship mod, im working in a complete mod for AA, (Change the techdata.dat file for change the name and descriptions of the ships, have vids (if finally i can use the video system in misisons, etc) )

It is not based on the Evochron universe,

It is based on a short story that I wrote some time ago.

Between the war of independence of Mars from the Earth and the attack by an unknown enemy.

But the Vonari ships are too "organic" for what I want to achieve.

And the final idea is make a "launcher" for launch the normal Arvoch Alliance or the Mod (Unification War (Working Title))

For example: This Command and This Battleship are perfect for the custom campaign. The AA/EM2 Battleships and Command for the Solar Fleet and the MOD Ships for the Unknown Enemy :)

That indicates object on index 10085 does not exist. This could happen if you specified an frame class that doesn't exist in a custom mission, imported a mesh that isn't compatible, or left out identity information for a ship that needed it within the limit of ships indicated in a custom mission.

Hi Vice.

I've done some missions for try... if i only put 1 Cap Ship in the mission then work (Bad, but work)

They are resized like a fighter ship but if i active the objetive view have the normal size.

And i see the Engines Light in other point of space... (See the link to image file)

Someone knows how i can edit the .x file?

Isn't important for the custom campaign, i can use the vonari-c frame but i prefer one of these ships :(

The Vonari ship's shape doesn't show up in the ship info display. Its just a sphere and 2 boxes. Also, it seems very small.

It's a shame this mod doesn't work with EM2. Those are some fancy looking ships, but they are smaller than my own ship in game ;)

em2 ship size has been increased by 400% (iirc)
you cant just edit the .x files
.x files will have to be imported into a 3d modeling program and scaled up.

I have the files ready for re-scaling and re-release, but Leatherpoker has been away for a while and his email address is apparently down. I don't like the idea of updating someone's work without permission even if he does state that the models were freely available and he simply ported them to EM. Should I go ahead and update them or maybe try contacting the original authors? I'm not trying to take credit for anything, just want to update to v2.x.

Hey RavenO!

IMHYCO, I don't think that Leatherpoker would have much of a problem with your reworking of the Cap Sip mod he's posted. Especially, since he's made it available for all of 'us' to use here, as we are disposed. Your reasoning for your hesitation is however, very respectable and right on the mark. If in truth, the ship models are not copyright protected or other wise licensed, I've trouble seeing a problem with using them, what ever the 'capacity'; be it using/flying or code-crunching. But that's just my dos centavos. :)

Leatherpoker's mod lives again! I take no credit for any part of this mod and will not accept any compensation of any kind (keep your money EmpressKittyKat and/or Fry) All I did was import, rescale, then export to make it useable in EM v2.x

Simply extract and place the 'ships' folder into your EM root directory.

If the original authors or Leatherpoker have any problem with my modification of their work, they're welcome to contact me and I will stop distributing their files.

As stated in the included documentation, the Vonari capital ship proved unuseable because of the misaligned thrusters. Sorry, but I didn't see how to make it work without the ship being ridiculously huge. Maybe I'll play with it more as time allows. Right now there's another project waiting for my attention... ;)
