Hello everyone,
I just bought EM (v 1.588) and i love it, despite an important increase in difficulty from older games.
I started as a combat pilot. I immediatly notice the starting ship (Ferret) only has two missile slots despite the ship description and shipyard details.
So i began working my military rank to get better ships.
However, the number of missile hardpoints is completely screwed up - i always have 8 no matter which military frame i buy, even if i go back to a lighter one (eg i can get a Ferret with 8 missiles).
Am i wrong or is the military shipyard bugged ?

That is weird. I know there was a bug fix because of people loosing equipment when swapping ships. Maybe the fix created another bug so as not to loose missiles when swapping from an 8 missile loaded ship to a ship with only 2 missile slots. Try this, load your missile slots with only 2 missiles and then swap your 8 slot ship for a Ferret!...

Military shipyard bugs ?
Hi and welcome.
Weird problem. Sounds like the fix did just what Maars said above.
A little heads up:
If you want to do the IMG quest in game you need to chose one of
the other starting profiles, not the combat pilot.

I have never heard of it, but Vice (the creator) will most likely answer you as well.
He normally fix all bugs or explain what the pilot is doing wrong.

Just went in the Carrier Shipyard in Sierra Warzone. When I checked the Ferret it had 8 Equipment slots and 4 Hardpoints(Missile slots). Make sure your not confusing Equipment with Missile slots.
However, I got another bug. When staying to long in the shipyard the game crashes to desktop whith error message:
"Error: Image could not be found at line (number)"
Don't remmember the specific number!

Maars, the Ferret still has that problem ... not sure why it's almost always traced to the Ferret. IIRC, Vice once explained that it has something to do with packet flow ... that he needs to balance minimum packets checked (before timing out the player and dropping him from the server) against number of packets needed to keep combat from lagging.

Did you actually bought the ship ? The stats in the SY are indeed 4 missile hardpoints, but neither the starting Ferret (2) or any Ferret bought after another military ship (8) match this number.
Also, civilian ships are not affected.

Likely a bug to be fixed for the next update. The starting Ferret should have 4 and be capped at that for shipyard changes.
