switch from miner to fighter?

I was wondering how to change to being a fighter from being a miner.

Welcome.

You could trade your ship in to a civil one at any station.
Then start doing civil stuff. I recommend doing the IMG Quest when you have switched ships.

Enter F3 menu, click on News then click on Read last quest message.
Off you go on an adventure!;)

Hello summit, the main thing to change would be your equipment. As far as ships go some like the Military ships and others ( like me ) fight with the best Civie ship I can get. To get the better Military ships, you need to build up your Military Rank by doing missions in War & Conflict Zones. If you switch to a Military ship be advised of the limitations as in "NO CREW" and now we have one cargo bay. You can not alter much on a Military ship. I find it best to pick the pilot profile you want to change and save it to another slot then if you goof (as I do ) you have not lost what you had to start with. Welcome to the forum and the Sim. Hey Summit! Welcome aboard. Selling your civ ship at any carrier may purchase the mil frame that your curent military rank unlocks in the carrier shipyard. Mil ships are a mite more expensive than civ frames, so make sure you've got the ducats aboard to make the build possible. The frames characteristically open to Trainee - Ensign ranks may not have the equipment slots your civy ship has. Be careful of this, as you may loose important ships equipment in the process.
