Combat Pilot and Quest

Wasn't, sometime back, Combat Pilot added to the profiles you could select and still get the IMG quest?

IIRC Combat Pilot didn't have a quest. Hard start too.

Yeah, I knew it was that way at the get-go ... but I thought Vice changed it. If he did, it's somehow been changed back.

Combat Pilot is still there under "create pilot", but I do not know if you would be able to do the IMG Quest as a Combat Pilot. I think you had to sell your military ship first and start with a Civillian frame to get started on the IMG Quest. Because you need Cargo Space for some of the Quest missions and the starter military frames do not have the capacity!.....

This is incorrect. I have tested it and as starting as a combat pilot, no innital IMG quest is given. That innital quest does not post after buying another ship as your "career" is still a combat pilot. If you want to do the IMG quest, choose another "career" and the IMG quest will appear once you launch the pilot.

This is tested and confirmed.

I have just done this (v 1.588), and agree with Maarschalk.
Just buy a civilian ship and the IMG quest starts.
