Last Man Standing Competition

See what the community can come up with.

Maybe a race along a course set out by buoys (or whatever other buildable/deployable item that would fit the purpose) arranged in a circle around a planet, right on the edge between space and atmosphere. The minimum permitted velocity would be 1500 km/s (this would be easy to verify by judges), so that the trick would be to prevent your ship from burning up in the atmo while attempting to fly as close to the planet as possible in order to set the fastest time.

A race with an additional challenge if you will.

I probably have some notes lying around somewhere with more stuff. Will try to find it.

Here's an idea. How about after the game we choose partners somehow and do the gunner thing.

I will set up another Last Man Standing.

This one will be in very limited space for you to move in.
I discussed it with Dingo a couple of nights ago.
I will reveal exactly what I had in mind after Sundays event.

It will be wicked!:P
I will call it "Last Man Standing - Crowded House"

I saw [EG]LexOR in MP today and invited him but he may be confused as to how to apply. Don't know if he will show or not. If an unlisted pilot shows up it will be your call if they can late enter or not.

First Place - DennyMala
Second Place - Marvin
Third Place - Cindy
Fourth Place - Dingo
Fifth Place - Bleve
Sixth Place - TBird
Seventh Place - Incoming
Eighth Place - SeeJay
Ninth Place - Kat
Tenth Place - ShieldWolf

All pilots flew well and stayed fairly well within the ROE's for this offering. Well done!

Thanks, it was a great and hard fight.

Me and Marv are more an even than that, time took his toll.

With this ROEs, it has the potential to go on forever, some way of limiting it should be found.

The next event is in an asteroid cave, so it will limit the ability to stay alive forever. A sector is bigger than it seems sometimes.

Did that once in Legends. Lesson learned today is: don't believe Cindy when she underestimates herself. She fought like a demon the entire time and it required teamwork (2v1) to take her down. She will make combat inside an asteroid very, very dangerous.
