Yes, but I can't guarantee the safety of the audience when the participants have their adrenaline pumping.

When a pilot dies, is he supposed to leave the sector?

I think he should stay at the station, so he can watch. MM said he can make sure the killed dont cheat and start fighting again.

rules would be

1. No FT's, Stealth, or Prox mines
2. You can't leave the sector that the competition is in.

anyone interested?
What about docking to rearm?

Another great initiative!

I won't be a match for anyone else participating and it's probably gonna be difficult to find the time anyway, but if you need any help with designing a nice graphical decoration (something like a badge) the winner could wear on his forum signature, I would be more than happy to offer my services.
I you would like me to whip something up I would appreciate it if you could let me know what exactly you want through u2u as soon as you have the chance, since I don't have a lot of time available. :)

I plan to hold this in a sector without a station. That would eliminate a few potential problems.

Thanks for the offer of a badge, you do really great work with graphics if you sig is any indication, but InkedMike is already on it.

People who don't think they have the requisite combat skill should be advised that this is more about survival than out and out dogfighting skills. A clever and cautious pilot has a good chance against more kamikazi-like fighters.

That means that Viper and Dave should sign up! :D

Hi Mike, the date and time are tentative and subject to change to accommodate the most players.

Also, for someone who wants to watch only, there is need of a referee to make sure no-one is fudging the rules.

In which case I shall try to make it. It will be interesting to time how long I last :P :P

The last time I played LMS was during a paintballing day. Four people secretly teamed up, took everyone by surprise, eleminated most of the opposition and only then turned on each other. It's a dog eat dog world out there (No offense Shieldwolf) :)

Well I'm honored you'd have me, but I'm looking at another week with 13 hour days, and next to my day job I have another project going on that I have to spend time on next week in the evenings (and the months to come for that matter). Weekends are mostly scheduled for family affairs, my GF takes care of that lol. :(
So I really wouldn't be able to give you any indication what so ever whether I'll be able to make it. If I happen to pop in shortly before the event and I do have some time to stick around, I'd be more than happy to be the best moving target I can be lol. ;)

Sounds like fun. If I can get on whenever the date/time is set for, I'd be happy to provide 15 seconds of being a target. ;) :P

I've tried to get a last man standing going several times when in R1...no takers. Thanks Aussie Dog for making it more formal. Count me in. I'm getting my joystick back Tues. Should be enough time to get my skills back. Hope the time works for CDT. You can keep the billion if by some miracle I win against such worthy opponents.

Thanks, I'll try to make it, but no promises.

Only one problem with running in this competition... it is only a sector that I'm allowed to run in. :P I don't think I'm good enough at escaping to stay out of range with many pilots in one sector. (And I'll eventually have to come out and fight - that is what worries me. ;))

LOL.....Cindy!.. if you stay in your rabit hole with a lot of escape routes and wait long enough till all the fighting is over you might be the last one standing if the last 2 contestant destroy each other at the same time which is a possibility and by default you'll be the winner without firing any shots!.....Oooops I gave a strategy away!....LOL.....;):P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P
