Story line

I been looking for this for some time but I can't find the entire story line for the prior games and this one. All I can get is it's about some ship.
I know I can just get the older games and get the story line from playing them for hours but I really don't have the time to put in to do that.

If someone can write down the story line or give me a link to a video or a link to some text on it, I will appreciate it very much.

BTW by posting the story line isn't just for me but it's for all the new players like me that wants to get a better understanding of things around them.

WOW thats a lot to read. Thanks for posting it and thanks for the guy that made the software where you can copy and paste something and it makes it into a audio mp3 so it will read to you while you drive or whatever.

Just wondering, does this include player and clan interaction in the game? Like the rise and fall of some players and clans

There is another version of the history that tha_rami produced - it has more detail including accounts of some of the major "events" like the first Human-Vonari contact where the Richton was destroyed and some specs about miliatry and civi vessels at that time. It is canon!

It has sections on history, craft and factions and is a WIP - though it's actually a WNIP - hence my slow efforts at melding the two versions of the history
