Problems Trading ships

So I am flying a Chimera and want to trade it in for a Starmaster at one of the stations in Pearl. Everything goes well until I undock then my shields and energy warning lights blink continuously. What gives?

Check your installed equipment. And, btw, nice space ship in your avatar. Flash Gordon retro.

Yup, as Marvin points out, make sure the ship you are building has sufficient capacity to store all of the equipment that will be transferred to it. If it doesn't have enough equipment hardpoints, you'll need to store what you can't carry in a hangar -before- you build the new ship and replace the old one.

Starmasters are expensive ships, and the ship dealers are inscrutable and unscrupulous.

They don't tell you that the Starmaster does not come standard with life support (you have to buy it as an extra option). So, you probably got a factory default starmaste without life support, otherwise known as a Sarcophagasper.

Good luck trading that in! Next time, read the fine print.

Thanks I will clear out my ship first though I believe I accounted for that. I was suprised it didn't come with seat belts and cupholders either lol.

The can (not cup -cups is for wimps) holder is a fold away in the arms of your chair - look in the instruction manual (index entry : can (not cup) holder will give you the page for instructions for making it available

no seat belts - you fly by the seat of your pants (at least I do) using velcro to hold you in place

Velcro is old school, now it is advanced WIMP's forces to hold you in your seat. WIMP's Generators are available only in Andromeda as you try to pass through the black hole there and can cost you in repair cost....
