Whats the point of being in a clan

I was wondering what does someone gain out of being in a clan?

fun with other players, and money from control of systems. That's pretty much it.

Clans might not be the way some pilots operate but if you want to claim territory you need a clan tag for your control area to show in MP. You can create your own clan tag if you want to be a clan of one.

You also get training from most clans.

Some also pays for your achievements.

Most of all, you get new really good friends. At least that what happened to me.
Both clan mates and other clan pilots that I do joint operations with.
