who's on-line in MP and when? (in GMT/UCT arghh

Post by DaveK »

One thing that has kept me from exploring MP is the confusion about the PT-GMT-UCT times stuff. I recently bought a book, over the phone from PT Canada (what? . . . ) and found out that my "just after tea-time" call from the UK was Sue's "first call of the working day" in the far side of Canada!!

What (UK - GMT - UTC (?)) time is it worth trying for someone based in the UK so that I can actually learn how to use the chat stuff and even choose a Clan to join? - Her Ladyship (of 33 years) values "quality time" together (as do I) so it is diplomatic to arrange things in advance a bit.

If I know popular (ie populated) MP times on Remula 1 (ideally in GMT/UCT I could work around them. My two attempts on MP so far have resulyted in experiences equal to SP - the MP universe was like a ghost town wrt real (friendly and helpful) pilots - only the "living dead" act from the usual (grumpy) AI! (ie welcome - die!) ;)

I really would love to try MP - the adverts for it are irresistable! I've got relatively restricted time available :) (like so many of us) and a fairly proscribed window to work in.

:)

Hi DaveK,

I'm based in Spain and I'm usually on MP some evenings and weekends from around 9.00pm UK time. I often see other people online around that time too.

My online game time has been reduced since my new job, half the time I am too tired to even think about playing EM.

Also due to working in 2 shifts will make my online time irregular IF I dicide to pop online.

 Denny is in Italy and plays just about every Sunday evening (his time). Btw, don't forget to take Daylight Savings Time into account when calculating log-on time. It gets to be a whole lot of fun, especially since different countries switch over on different days.

Maybe, being in heavy combat most of the time makes it hard to pay attention to the one letter difference.....;):P:cool:

BAH! Forget joining BA. You should go solo and act like a total pirate to everyone you see. Evochron needs more loose cannon bad guys, and I need more targets:cool:

OK you're a target.

Bossk will now put you on the Instantaneous Hit List. If we see you we will go for you.

Have a nice day.
