Just Saying Hi

Post by DragonIan »

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for this great forum. I got a lot of help here particularly with Navigation. Took me while to figure out how to zoom in and out..like some others here just found a blank space. Thanks also for the tips on how to upgrade and what type of ship to choose.

I would like to know how to save my ship where it will be safe and say create a military ship. I know how to dock and upgrade my ship, but where and how do you create a new ship?

Want to meet and chat in mulitplayer soon, thats my next step :)

Thanks

Ian

 You can only save a ship in a system where that same ship can be bought. The only real advantage to saving a ship is if the equipment is unique (hard to find). Keep in mind that, when saving a civvy ship and going to a military ship, the crew leaves and never comes back.

Edit: Actually, you can store any ship at any base ... but it can't be rebuilt except as noted above. IIRC.

About the only time it's worth saving a ship is when you have a mil ship and are operating in an area where carriers are far away, and, you want to swap for a civvy ship, for trading purposes, but, still want a mil ship available for PvP action.

Image I might be thinking of Legends, but the last time I tried that, the station wouldn't give me my military ship back.
