Missing Display Elements - Newbie

At the risk of becoming a newbie pain in the keister, I need help again. Both in the training screens and in the actual game play screens (under the demo), my display does not show the full screens as shown in the instructions. I get the HUD circular ring in the center and the information boxes immediately surrounding it (velocity, gravity, etc.). I also get the pads displayed along the top edge of the screens and the F1, F3 and F4 keys bring up the Nav Console, Inventory Console and Trade Console, respectively, as described in the Training modules and the Instructions.

However, the canopy window frames, the lower panel and and the information displays associated with that do not show. Additionally, the Hud modes do not respond to the "H" key. I have no pitch ladder and pressing the "H" key repeatedly doesn't seem to have any effect.

I'm sure I'm overlooking something obvious or just not understanding something simple, but need help once more.

Hi and welcome.

Start with checking your key bindings in the setup menu. Make sure that "H" is set for HUD modes.

Thanks, SeeJay - checking that. I didn't change any key settings and expected that the defaults would be set, but it makes sense to have a look at that.
