Click "Real-Time Scanning"
Click "Real-Time Scanning settings"
Click "Turn off"
This should get you through loading.

That is the Equivelant of Norton Security Suite "Turn on Silent Mode" and you can set the amount of time for it to be on.......

grr, so it was McAfee, that was cursing my gaming experience... DAMN U MCAFEE!!!!! Unforntaly, i don't trust Norton enough (I've gotten at least 2x as many viruses while using Norton compared to McAfee) to switch back.....

McAfee has proven to be the most troublesome with games than any other security program. I don't like Norton because it is a rescource hog.

When I had installed Windows 7 64 bit Pro. I had installed Avast to try it out before getting the free Norton Security suite from the Internet Service Provider installed. I got a very nasty security virus that Avast did not pick up and I had to go into the registry to clean up this Virus. This Virus was preventing the installation of any other Protection Software. And the only way to get rid of it temporarily was removing some entries in the registry. Then I installed Norton Security Suite. The Virus tried to pop up again but this time Norton caught it and cleaned it completely from my system......So I do not thrust Avast either....

The new Norton Security Suite is not a resource hog if you know how to use it to maximize your performance....but there is a learning curve to set it up properly......
