Need help with an X52

Post by Pyroka »

I just got a brand new Saitek X52, but i seem to be having some problems with setting it up. The LEDs on the stick portion are blinking, and it's not giving any feedback to the setup program(no axis movement or button presses). The throttle works just fine, and all the cables are plugged in properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the thing is busted, and seeing as how I have no use for a $90 paperweight, I intend to send it back. Maybe get another one, maybe just shell out for the 65F, not sure at this point. Still have my X45, but its starting to get sluggish, so not sure how much is left in it. If anyone has any recommendations for a new system, I would love to hear them.

Did you try replacing just the PS2 cable? It could be a bad or broken pin since the throttle works fine but the stick does not......;)

When I started using my x52 I also had a few buggy issues. After uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and software several times it seems to have settled down. Haven't had any problems more the last few months (touch wood). It's a great controller but I was disappointed with the "toy" feel... doesn't quite feel like a real flight stick.
