Blank Screen

I got EL from Impulse yesterday and when I click on the exe my
screen turns blank. I uninstalled it and downloaded it from
here and tried again, but the instant I click the exe I get the blank
screen and the windows notice "Evochron Legends exe has stopped working" I hav'ent even got to inputting my key yet
The game stops working instantly I click the EL exe.
I turned off my anti-virus and firewall but still no joy.
