Greetings, dearly beloveds. I have the MS Wireless Elite Keyboard & Mouse, but have lost the wireless receiver.
Would any other receiver allow the keyboard to work, or does it need a dedicated one? I'm not too bothered about the mouse.

In the particular case of Microsoft I really don't know the answer.
With the Logitech, you could use sometimes, other Logitech receivers. But the idea I have, is that wasn't always possible, and you'd have the same model to work. Other brands was out of the question.
In your case, I'd try Microsoft support. Maybe they can give you a definite answer.
