Trading fuel

How do you trade fuel in space? I have heard of people doing this but I have never seen the mechanics of it.

Target the ship you want to trade fuel with and open Trade consol and there should be some text with amount of fuel to transfer at units of 20 or 30 fixed amount I don't remmember how much it was excactly...

In case you want to sell fuel you have harvested to a station, just "buy" a negative number of fuel units.

Oh, yes to make profit from fuel. Yes. If you have a 2400 capacity fuel tank with 400 units of fuel in it and you have a fuel converter and mining/tractor beam and you load up your fuel tank from a sun or nebulae with 2000 units to the full capacity of the tank, then take it to the Station you want to sell it at and swap your fuel tank back to a 400 units capacity fuel tank and the Station gives you credit for the 2000 units. So 2000 times 140 credits per unit is a profit of 280,000...Oh this was the case in Legends..but now you explode........LOL..and now you have to buy negative number of units.......

Negative number of units? I'm probably missing something here, when you talk about buying a negative number of units, how do you go about that?

When you refuel at a station you can type in your amount. Instead of buying 1000 units you buy -1000. This make you sell a 1000 units of fuel.

Hmm, it's weird isn't it. It doesn't matter how good and experienced one are, it's damn hard to know everything, isn't it?
