Turret Gunner -- Just Along for the Ride
What happens to a turret gunner when the pilot uses a jumpgate?

He sails right along with him, what else?

Any sector-to-sector travel should automatically disconnect the gunner binding.

While you are gunning in someone else's ship I've noticed that the controls are inverted. Is there a way to change the gunner controls?
My control settings are "mouse direction reverse y" when I'm flying around normally, but as soon as I enter the gunner position of a friends ship my mouse sensitivity drops drasitcally and the y axis inverts?

Yeah. I always get the definition of "inverted" incorrect. I can see how that'd get confusing.
To clarify.
During normal play, looking at a space station. If I move my mouse up, the spacestation moves down in my view. (The nose of the ship moves up.) (This is how I like it.)
When in the gunner position, looking at a space station. If I move my mouse up, the spacestation moves up in my view. (The guns move down.) (My friend gets a flailing gunner who doesn't hit anything.)
Total side note:
Also, it would be cool to have items that somehow increase the gunner stats on your ship. So if someone hops in your ship to gun, they might get some additional perks.
Or maybe implement a way to fit multiple gunner positions.
Fun stuff, anyways.... I'm having fun exploring the verse. I'm having a little trouble with combat at the moment, hopefully I'll figure out a better way of fighting soon. I'll do some searching and make a post in a separate thread if I can't figure things out.

Test build is ready for download: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmerce ... yb1292.exe It inverts the vertical gun turret control to match the flight control.

Thanks a lot Vice, I really appreciate it. (And so does my friend who's piloting the ship I'm gunning in.)
I'll give it a try when I get home.
