Hello!

I looked around the forum but couldn't find any help regarding with Forum/IE8 issues.
My problem is that at home I'm using Windows XP and IE8 and I can't enter the forum from there.
(Error: Couldn't open URL)
At work we're running Linux and Iceweasel and that is no problem.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong at home. Have never had this problem before.

There are no issues with IE8 and this site. At least I can enter the forum from different machines and using IE8.
Is this happening only with this site?
I suggest you to try with another internet browser like Firefox.
http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/
You can download and try with it.

Thank you Von Paulus.

I think it is a problem with any site that has "starwraith" included in the address.
It all started after I bought and installed the EL. Now when I think about it, it might
be my Firewall that has changed settings for this site. (It does that when something is installed).

I will try your suggestion if I can't fix it with the firewall.

My system might be a bit ......sick! After all, it is Windows!!!

Why 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4?
Is it a public DNS or similar?

Google's DNS is golden...many issues solved using that

Thanks for all the help with the forum issue. Unfortunately nothing worked so I emailed the support.

This is the reply I got.
"The issue actually has to do with security protocols within the site itself (some are still too broad and need further fine tuning), not your browser or connection. I have updated the protocols so you should now be able to access the forum."

It works like a charm now.
This forum with it's support from everybody, the creators of the greatest game in a very long time,
forum support and all the Pilots out there that share there experience is amazing.

I will join you guy's online when I'm confident enough with my X52 setup and my fighting skills
in case someone wants my behind for breakfast out there.
I will get Mercenary when it's released and probably get online right away.
I'm more used to normal flying in earths atmosphere, so it takes a while to get used to space flying.

There was some problem when I was chatting. My replies didn't show up after a few lines.
