Can I play EL online with a USB modem?

For playing Evochron Legends in Mulyiplayer

My specs:
HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop
Intel Dual Core CPU T5500 1.6GHz
2 GB RAM
Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 ForceWare version 177.13

I'm moving to a flat where there isn't internet (my new flatmates aren't interested in having internet at home:() so I'm thinking about buying a deal with a portable USB modem "dongle" which I can use with my laptop.

So my question is would it be possible to play Evochron Legends online with a USB modem?

I guess it's necessary to have a fast connection which might be affected by the strength of the signal and reception coverage in the area. I've seen on the market USBs + service operators offering maximum speeds of 3.6Mb or the more expensive 7.2Mb.

I'd be grateful for any advice/info regarding this, as playing EL mulitplayer is the best thing about the game!

If it's one of the 3G dongles, then yes you should be able to, I'd keep an eye on your bandwidth usage though

You should be fine with anything between 3Mb/s and 10Mb/s I believe.

I don't know what they use in Spain, but here in the US you can get EV-DO antennas to greatly boost your signal. Watch your bandwidth though, around here it's 0.10USD a megabyte or something if you go over 5GB in a month.
