Notice is hereby Given:
Due to Mankind's recent Actions toward other resident sentient Beings The rangers Formally declare a State of War toward any Being who undertakes Hostile action as the aggressor toward the Beings you know as the 'Vonari'.

No Action Will be taken to any non-human ship, or to any ship which has not to our knowledge initiated hostile actions toward these beings.

Now that the niceties are over, I would like to preemptively declare war on Anla-shok who has chosen to ally himself with the aggressor enemies of mankind: the Vonari and (by association) the Terasin.

Just because me and the Vonari don't really get along. Although my standing with the Pices navy isn't that good either.

The Anla-shok neither ally themselves with the Vonari nor the Terasin. Mankind has repetedly proven itself to be the aggressor with many incursions into space held by the Vonari since the treaty of Torvalus ( circa 1MYA ). However any hostile action against a member of the white star fleet shall be met with deadly force.

tha_rami : We have no quarrel with you (amongst our members your historic actions against the pices fleet are secondly only to the great Tiberius victory over the Kobayashi Maru ), though should you wish an honor duel we shall be happy to entertain.

Also as you have declared war on Ravenfeeder consider yourself an enemy of the SD clan in general. I just hope you leave something useful behind when you get blown up I can sell.

The Anla-shok (Rangers) were originally created by Valen during the First Shadow War. When the 3 castes refused to work with him to defeat the Shadows, he went outside the caste system. He used the creation of the Anla-shok to teach the Minbari his first lesson: When fighting a war, you fight a war, not get into an argument about the supremacy of castes. The word "Anla-shok" comes from the Minbari term for "The Application of Force". After the First Shadow War, the Anla-shok went into something of a dormant state while awaiting the prophesied second Shadow War that Valen warned would occur in the future.

As the centuries passed, the Rangers status seriously declined as the Minbari government, particularly the Minbari Warrior Caste members of the Grey Council, grew to doubt the validity of the prophecy. As such, the organization became seriously undermanned and underfunded, especially by the time of the 23rd Century (Terran Calendar) when the predicted signs of the Shadows' return were starting to become evident.

During the interim between the Shadow Wars, the Anla-shok were usually led by the Anla-shok Na or Ranger One until the reappearance of Jeffrey Sinclair, who took Valen's title of Entil'zha or the One Who Creates The Future. After Sinclair's disappearance, Ambassador Delenn took over the leadership of the Rangers until her election to the Presidency of the Interstellar Alliance, at which point she passed on leadership of the Rangers (and the title of Entil'zha) to Sheridan. After Sheridan was taken from the galaxy by Lorien, Susan Ivanova became the new Anla-shok Na/Ranger One, although she did not inherit the title Entil'zha.

The Vonari are the aggressors here, make no mistake. If they stayed in Vonarion, we could leave them there, but their incursions into Sierra and other Terran systems cannot and will not be ignored.

Your ignorance of human-Vonari relations is quite appalling, as it is obvious even to a third-grade student in a backwater place such as Rigel that the Vonari are the aggressors.

Make no mistake, my preemptive declaration of war still stands. I will consider any ranger ship a top priority target.

As far as I know, and that is only based upon the perspective of official Alliance documentations, the first combative Human-Vonari contact was initiated by the Vonari and wiped out a complete human carrier in a matter of seconds.

Hi Anla-shok, Welcome to the game and forum. Hope to see some nice fireworks from your destruction. Vonari have been the aggressor from the start. They are the invaders and destroyers of entire planets. So may you live short and bring prosperity
with your valuable cargo to others. LOL

Yes, but that was only after their unprovoked attacked on human ships. The object of war is to kill people (aliens) and break things. They started it by killing our people and breaking our things and we will finish it by killing their people and breaking their things, Rangers or no Rangers.

Accountant Being the historian around here, we do not know about things that were considered classified in 2200 by the Alliance, as we did learn the story through the perspective of a squadron pilot. The first documented hostile contact however, is indeed Vonarian.

It certainly was as far as the Star Destroyers are concerned. The destruction of our Carrier the Caspian was Vonari initiated as the number of pilots killed in their ships in the hanger will testify.

The first (documented) contact was in 2285, when the Federation carrier Richton was attacked en-route to a colony establishment meeting.

The first documented visual description of a Vonari ship (an A-50 cruiser) was on April 14, 2287 with surviving pilots returning to a nearby starbase after the Alliance carrier Becker was destroyed.

By the time the Alliance response in the form of the Lexington arrived in the Orion system, the Federation had been desperately fighting the Vonari for some time. As we all know, the Lexington was the second flagship to fall after the Richton.

However, we do not know whether any forces did engage the Vonari prior to this event - as any crafts bold enough to attack Vonari ships would most likely have been destroyed in a matter of seconds with the level of technology humanity possessed at that point.

The Caspian was destroyed during the latter stage of the war with the Vonari. As such that event has little influence on the aggressor/victim situation.
