I was wondering if there might be any chance of getting rotational adjustments when customizing our ships. I think it'd be great to have the capability of adjusting not only the scale and placement of the pieces, but also the rotational axis. I'm envisioning wing systems that mimic sails, or even something similar to TIE fighters. It would just be nice to deviate a little more from the standard horizontal wing setup, and would allow for some REALLY custom looks.

I like this idea also, but it would also mean a lot more data to be transmitted in MP, if tha can be dealt with then go with it

Really good idea.
Extra parts would be good too.

I have no inkling of how the game code operates, but I would assume the rotational orientation of the individual wireframes is already built in. It would just be a matter of having a user interface to modify the data that's already there.
I could, of course, be WAY off in that assumption.
And I was thinking primarily of just two axis of rotation, basically a fore/aft value and a lateral value. I'm really not sure how you could pull off a TIE-style design without an entirely different set of wireframes. Seems like the current wireframes would have to be folded in the middle to do that... dunno if that's even possible!

Heck, all Vice would have to do is install a program within a program! He would have to create a sort of CAD program within the shipyard program. that way everybody could design their own ship any way they wanted!
Piece of cake!

LOL, that sounds a little more involved than simply adding two sliders to the shipyard! You're basically asking for Evochron Second Life!Originally posted by MMaggio
