X52 Problem

Post by Sarduakar Jones »

Hi there, I'm having some trouble with Evochron Legends v1.098 and my Saitek X52.

The game dosn't appear to be detecting my joystick (read as controller 1). All the sliders are centred and unresponsive but my throttle stick (read as controller 2) and all it's axis are working perfectly. Joystick/Gampad has been set in the options screen.

My X52 is working fine in Windows (Vista BTW) and it's also working fine with Arvoch Conflict and my other games.

Any ideas?

you need to download and update the Evochron Legends Profile in your Saitek X52 Profile Game list! It is probably missing from the list. If so just add it to the list! Hope this helps!;)

You do not need a profile to use the X52, you can configure it for basic operations using the game's control settings. I recommend creating your own profile if you choose to use SST (and remember to clear the game's button settings).
This is right, you do not need a profile, but I had the same problem, the game was not detecting my joystick because it was not in Saitek X52 Games list as a selectable profile. It is just for detection purposes. your throttle probably is just detected as a random controller and not neccesaraly as part of the Saitek X52. Saitek software needs to be able to detect the Game in order to work. That is why it has to be in Saiteks profiles Games list. Their is an option to update the list so it includes Evochron Legends!;)

Sorry, I think I confused profiles of my Track IR 4.0 Pro with Saitek X52. But it might be the same principle thou for detection purpose! I know I had to do something either select a default profile, or what I mentioned above!

Yes, you need to download the profile updates for TI4. You do not need to do any such thing for the X52.

Edit: I love my TI2, it just works.

Yes, Track IR4 Pro is real nice and it really in MHO enhances the Game a lot. I'm at my work computer at the moment so can not check excactly what I did to fix the the problem I had with my X52!;)

X52 Problem

Post by Sarduakar Jones »

Thanks for getting back to me guys!

Turns out Eclipse was right, I had to set up my axis on controller 2 in the options as it was indeed reading the X52 as one device. In the words of Alexander Orlov "Simples". Man, talk about Hawking's Razor.

Anway thanks to everyone for trying to help, nice community you got here.
