Yes, they should work fine. Just place the files in the required folders ('music' and 'chatter', you'll need to create them). Specific details are available in the customizing and modification kit, link: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronlegendscustomkit.zip

Music/chatter question

Will the original music/chatter still play along with/in addition to the new?
Can I mix different music mods?

If you install the replacements, then the replacement will be used rather than the default ones. Yes, you can mix different music mods, just follow the folder and file pattern specified in the kit.

Music/chatter question

Working on the music mod but not having any luck.
Downloaded the http://www.starwraith.com/evochronlegendscustomkit.zip, placed folders in the main EL directory that EL.exe file resides (E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends)

Filled the music folder with Pariah's music - http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3164.

Files are named musiclevel1.wav, musiclevel2.wav, musiclevel3.wav. If I select menu option to Music: All, the original music plays. So, I renamed one of the files to evoambient.wav, restarted EL and the same thing happens, Pariah's wonderful percussion doesn't play.

Did the same thing with the files verbosity modified (same thread as above) no difference. Running EL ver 1.108. Any ideas?

Oh, sound is SoundMax HD digital, integrated to motherboard. Updated the drivers, no joy :(

That should work. Can you post a screenshot of file explorer showing the game's folder and music folder expanded so the files are displayed on the right side? Could just be a filename or extension problem. Also, are you launching the game from that location or does your desktop icon point to a different 'start in' binary location?

Thanks for the quick responses.

Here's a screen of EL folder on left with contents and music folder on right with contents.

Desktop icon target and "start in" locations are same, from this directory.

Well, I'm not having any luck downloading the image either. I feel like a noob.

Anyway without pictures here's the tree:

E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\EvochronLegends.EXE
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\evmenumusic.wav
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\evoambient.wav
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\music1.wav
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\music2.wav
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\music3.wav
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\musiclevel1.wav
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\musiclevel2.wav
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\musiclevel3.wav

and I have a folder in the music folder:
E:\\Games\\EvochronLegends\\MUSIC\\PariahMusicMod

Thanks for your help people.

Try removing or renaming all of the music not related to the group system you want to use. So for example, remove or rename the first 5 wav files in that list so the game uses the 'level' files only by default. Also, make sure those files use the .wav extension only once and weren't accidently named musicX.wav.wav

Not exactly sure what happened. I removed everything from the music folder except for music1.wav music2.wav and music3.wav. I'm listening to Star Wars theme by Metallica... works.

Thanks for the guidance Vice and Eclipse.
