For EL I bought.....an arcade style joystick

Post by WhiteFang »

I use a Roccat Power Grid but it craps out by a few seconds every now and then...mostly when I need it in a dogfight!

Also it takes a bit of effort in a dogfight to find the right button, I have to look at it.

So I thought I would make a controller myself using sanwa buttons and a cheap zero delay pcb that they use in Street Fighter - type joysticks.

However while looking for that I instead found this and have ordered it - the Qanba Carbon. It's main attractions are small, looks great, cheap and good quality plus the big one, it mounts on the edge of a desk:

In advance I will print this on card type paper and drop it over the top and expect I will do the same for X-plane 11.

Wow, very nice! Is that a fully variable axis stick control?

My understanding is that it is free flowing 8 way because of a "OEM gate"?

So not like my Warthog, I am only using it for shields.

Ah ok, that makes sense and should be a nice combination setup.
