what is that clicking noise?

I've been playing around with Audacity and trying to do some sound effects from scratch. I figured I would start with something easy, like afterburner.

The problem is the smooth transition from tabon to taburn, and then to taboff. Often (not always) with the transition occurs, there is a clicking noise, like when you start to play a file and there is an initial click. It is annoying, and I can't seem to find a reliable way to be rid of it.

Any ideas?

you need to trim the start and end of each file at the "zero crossing point"
