This is my first mod for Evochron. It is very simple, just a modification to the tractor beam to make it a bit more dynamic. In addition to the color, it will also swirl/twist (hard to explain). It is very subtle, but I think some people will like the extra little detail.
[p]Anyways, hope you guys like it. I will be putting out more mods as I learn more about how to change things in Evochron.[/p]

Alright! I've been working all day on this, so I hope you guys like these new beams.
I feel like I've learned a lot on how to achieve certain effects. Anyways, this is now a pack of 11 different choices for you to waste hours deciding between.
Here you go, enjoy!

With your permission I'll add it to my site.
Keep 'em coming! ;-)
Thank you! Add away, please.
I'm actually designing a few other types right now. I will update the .7z with a pack of different templates to choose from. I'll stick with green for the time being since it reminds me of the Borg tractor beams (which is my ultimate goal to simulate here).

Will update website after work and soccer practice tonight!;)
We trained the 6 year old group last night in pouring rain. So fun!
We had them practice "sliding tackles" on the wet grass.
Hopefully we'll get some rain tonight for the 8 year old group.

NO worries! That does sound pretty fun. Get the Clorox ready, because there will be many a grass stain tonight!

I've been playing less, and modding more. =x
I was trying to decide on my next project, and I thought maybe I would do planets/planet rings or nebulae. Here are some planet textures I was working on though:

Great idea including the previews so people can see what they can get!
I'm looking forward to trying them out - thanks for creating and sharing

Nice planetary textures. How do they jive with what you see as you head planetside? (Currently, mountains and lakes, as seen from space, coincide with what you get on the planets.)

I haven't got that far yet. I'm actually still trying to find the project files for them, all I had were those export images. It doesn't take too long to re-due them though, if worse comes to worse. I'm actually thinking more time will be spent getting them to match up with the models like you mentioned. I'll keep you guys updated as I make progress.
Also, I will be putting out packs for different color beams today. I noticed there was some interest for that. So look for them by the end of the day (or morning, depending where you live, I guess).
sorry - I'm trying to extract it to a file format that can be sent onwards - and obviously failing!

The latest update is available now in zip format.
I changed the file extension to .7z instead of .0 after download.
Then converted it to zip and uploaded it. Pouhhhh! LOL!:P

- modern computer technology is so powerful and easy to use! I'm surprised that Security Organisations need such a comprehensive and expensive way of gathering, translating and interpreting data!! Microsoft and Google and GNU seem to have got it all sussed!

Sorry for the confusion everyone. I didn't notice my boo-boo on the file naming. It's all fixed now. I've re-uploaded the new file, along with what I added today.
Let me know if there are any other problems. Thanks!
