First Mod - (EM) New Tractor Beam

This is my first mod for Evochron. It is very simple, just a modification to the tractor beam to make it a bit more dynamic. In addition to the color, it will also swirl/twist (hard to explain). It is very subtle, but I think some people will like the extra little detail.

[p]Anyways, hope you guys like it. I will be putting out more mods as I learn more about how to change things in Evochron.[/p]

<p>Alright! I've been working all day on this, so I hope you guys like these new beams.<br>
I feel like I've learned a lot on how to achieve certain effects. Anyways, this is now a pack of 11 different choices for you to waste hours deciding between.<br>
Here you go, enjoy!</p>

<p>UPDATE -- I've added some color choices. They are included in the complete pack, or you can download the graphics individually below.<br>

I'm actually designing a few other types right now. I will update the .7z with a pack of different templates to choose from. I'll stick with green for the time being since it reminds me of the Borg tractor beams (which is my ultimate goal to simulate here).

Very nice indeed! I like this a lot. Could I get this in blue? Blue just seems like a tractor beam color to me for some reason. :P

<p>I've been playing less, and modding more. =x<br>
I was trying to decide on my next project, and I thought maybe I would do planets/planet rings or nebulae. Here are some planet textures I was working on though:</p>

I haven't got that far yet. I'm actually still trying to find the project files for them, all I had were those export images. It doesn't take too long to re-due them though, if worse comes to worse. I'm actually thinking more time will be spent getting them to match up with the models like you mentioned. I'll keep you guys updated as I make progress.


Also, I will be putting out packs for different color beams today. I noticed there was some interest for that. So look for them by the end of the day (or morning, depending where you live, I guess).

I have problems open/converting the latest file (SRs Tractor Beam Pack2.0)
I've never seen .0 extension Before and I can't convert it either.

Any chance you could upload or email me as a .zip instead?

Thanks Dave. I Think I solved it. Just changed the file extension to .7z and then convert it.;)

Can't open the file you send either tho. (No file extension on it)

Thanks for your help Dave.

The latest update is available now in zip format.
I changed the file extension to .7z instead of .0 after download.
Then converted it to zip and uploaded it. Pouhhhh! LOL!:P
