Thanks for all everyone !

With the customkit, I have understand many things (especially for the SX3 ship textures and hud to).

For the fonts, I have discover myself that's the font installation is obviously indispensable for function in the game.

Thanks again !

Great game (I have offered it to on of my friend yesterday when it was at 5,74 € for 5 hours) =), great community !

I hope the modding will become more and more important with the new "extension" (2.x version).

They share the same shadow texture as mode1.png, mode2.png, and mode3.png. The file you're looking for is called 'modeshadow.png'.

Excellent work Viper. I like the full cockpit quite a bit. It's great fit for military frames.

Vice shows how to fix this in this thread:

Being a new player I just stumbled onto this mod and I have to say the v2.1 pictures look absolutely amazing. That cockpit and HUD look SHARP. Also the ship in the 3rd person screenshot looks great. Is that ship in the game or a modded ship?

I really like the Maximum cockpit mod it looks fantastic. Great attention to detail 360 degrees. I went back to the original font however but like the updated UI.

Thank you kindly, I can tell you put some time into it.

I know it's been a couple of months since you posted (I hope you're still around lol), but nevertheless thanks for your compliments, I'm happy to see you're enjoying it.

I have to point out though, that Maximillien was the one who designed that cockpit, and Ijon was the one who designed the 'Perch' cockpit - I only designed the user interfaces. Both cockpits are awesome pieces of work and indeed, designed with a lot of eye for detail. Credits for the cockpits go to these gentlemen!

On a public note, like the SX3 mod I noticed that the download links for the Silicum mods were not working anymore, for which I apologize. I have updated all the links in each of the posts with new, working ones from MediaFire.

I am in the process of setting up a website where people will be able to download and (if not readily available) order all kinds of graphics for free, and as soon as it's done I will host all my mods on the server space for the website, which should provide for a more reliable source. For now I hope this will suffice.

~ Viper.

Edit:
Oh and Marvin: haven't forgotten about your requests mate, just been real busy. Will get to it as soon as I can. ;)

Silicum V2.1 HUD & Interface modification

Post by INKED MICHAEL »

I'm Now Using my Old 32" 720p 16:9 HDTV with 1360x768 RES As My Monitor (Bought a 50" LED. lol). I Tried the SILICUM V2 MOD and the SCREENS Looked SO SMALL they were Virtually Unusable.

So, after some SELECTIVE EDITING of the COCKPIT and SEVERAL HOURS working With the
"gauges.txt" file I FINALLY have a SIL V2 COCKPIT I Can Use.

It will be my DEFAULT COCKPIT.

I Spent All this Time on Re-Working VIPERS SIL V2 COCKPIT Because I think IT IS THE COOLEST COCKPIT GOING and Well Worth My Time and Effort.

I REALLY APPRICIATE ALL THE WORK YOU'VE PUT INTO THIS PROJECT VIPER MY FRIEND. Can't Wait to see what You come up with Next.

This will be my DEFAULT COCKPIT.

PICS where taken in OLYMPUS.

Decided to use MY VERSION of the EvoViper VIPER MKII ccpit1.

I Think it Looks Pretty Good. Goes with the "FULL DETAIL" Aspect of my Entire SILICUM V2 COCKPIT and MY GS/HUD.

Strange, I ELIMINATED ALL BOXES and Anything Else other than the BARE NESSESSITIES but this COCKPIT/GS/HUD is SO FULL OF LITTLE DETAILS. lol.

I'm Thinking a BLACK COCKPIT with YELLOW SCREENS, ETC for My Next one. I think I'll Name it The "PHANTOM F4G MK27A".lol.

Decided to go LARGER on My TARGET BOX and use "BUTTONS" as SHIELD STRENGTH INDICATORS.

I'll give it a try with AI's Tonight. For PVP it's ALWAYS MY PERCH! lol.

Decided my TARGET BOX HUD needed a REFLECTOR SIGHT. So, here it is.

Surprised how easy it was to get used to it.

Decided to do ANOTHER HUD/REFLECTOR, of course ALSO INCORPORATING ALL EM DISPLAYS. lol. Went "Old School" with one from a F4W PHANTOM II from the VIETNAM ERA.

I've also Created My Own MISSILE TRAILS and CANNON PULSES. Don't Think you'll be Able to See Much in the way of CANNON PULSES but there is a MISSILE LAUNCH so You Should Be Able to See the Difference between MINE and the GAME DEFAULT LAUNCH.

This HUD/REFLECTOR is a little more difficult to use as it sometimes OBSCURES the RNG/VEL Readings on your TARGET BOX. A quick look at your ccpit3 screen is all you need.
