Hola!!

I have this question..

Change the reputation with factions or the global reputation in the system...

What is the finality of this?

Better Contracts? More Money for contracts?

Regards!

hola! You can only change the reputations with factions. It increases your rank and make you some allies and ...allows you being a target and toasted less often by factions ruling a given system :P except in an hostile system where everyone does hate you.;)

Maybe in the next expansion...But you wouldn't want to, would you ?

When you jump in more advanced systems from an economic point of view, you have better contracts more paid but it has nothing to do with your reputation.

There is no finality in itself. As a beginner in the game, you stopped being harassed by ships when you increases your rep with navy and energy, which are factions generally ruling in an average system.

 You pay docking fees in Hostile and Moderate systems until you reach the civilian rank of Legend. As for increasing your reputation, in single-player you can even turn each star system (overall reputation) to the better if you remain in that system and do contracts for the good guys until the change is realized.

Right, if you work your way up to a good reputation in a hostile system(Changing the Hostile to Good) you will not pay docking fees any more in that system! Also the Civilian Rank of Legends will give you free docking at any station even hostile ones!....;)

 Keeping in mind that, in multiplayer, Hostile and Moderate systems will always be that way. You can only change your overall reputation in single player. But, if you haven't reached Legend status, you can still get away with not paying docking fees by either building and then docking at your own station or docking at a station built by another player.

with exception of vonari, you can raise your rep in any system to a good standing and hostiles wil leave you alone.
including hostile systems.

for example, my rep is good in pearl and i never see reds

its "good" in sp, multiplayer says moderate but it treats me as good

the benefits of a good rep in sp carry over to mp
