Hello pilots,
I just discovered this game wich look very interresting.
I m still running the demo and can't wait to discover more.

I come from falcon 4.0 and I m playing with a hotas cougar, if one of you has a profile can you please send it to me to:
mikyjax hotmail.com

I started this game today and it looks like there is a high learning curve... I think I will love it.

Can't wait to meet you soon up there ;)

Um...of all the unfortunate names for a controller, Hotas Cougar is right up there.

Seriously, though, I think most people use the Saitek sticks. I use a Thrustmaster (another unfortunate name) T16000.

You might need to create a profile from scratch. I'm sure that all the effort will be worth it, though, and then you can share it. Share it with the world!

I'm wondering if the marketing folks who come up with product names are all 14 years old.

Thanks guys!
I will then work on my own from scratch :)
The prob when going from scratch when you are a noob is you don't know what controls are refealant and wich one aren't .
I will see what I can do .

 Start with the two control axiis ... decide if you want the Y-axis for roll (aircraft and Shuttle style) or yaw. Then go into the game and fly around a bit ... see if you get drift. If you do, press the Escape key and use the in-game adjustments to fine tune your control.

;) After that, you can set up the rest of your buttons to suit your own style of play.

Edit: Changed the phrase "three control" to "two control" to reflect the joystick's lack of a Z axis.

I looked up the cougar last night. It looks pretty nice: all metal for the real feel. The main complaint about it seems to be lack of rudder control, so I hope you have pedals.

I wish that were the case, but the kids are all using the little console controllers these days. I can't see how they can aim at all with them.

Oh yeah, the can't. That's why console games have "aim assist" features.... ulp.

Sorry to post in an old thread- but I just thought I had to add. If you're referring to "HOTAS" being a bad name, it is a technical term used in actual aircraft. it means Hands On Throttle and Stick.
