IMG Quest is Stuck...

Hello Everyone!

I have had EM for about a week now, and really enjoy it; I can't wait to jump into a MP Server when I improve my skills.

However, I have run into an issue. I was doing some quests for the IMG and kept getting killed on the Olympus Delta - Theta City - quest where I have to protect the Capitol Ship that is about to jump.

The fourth time I got killed, I decided to go mine for a bit to get better gear. So I took off, and built/upgraded my ship. Now when I return. I don't get the option for that quest anymore.

When I hit the F3 key, view the News and then click the "Last Quest Message" button, I see the message I get AFTER accepting the mission to protect the jumping ship; "Sector SX1251, SY0, SZ503 We need you to protect one of our...", but haven't accepted it again, yet( Well, a fifth time )!

Now, for the life of me, I cannot locate that jumping ship, nor can I get the quest to fail, so I can start it over!

I was wondering what I could do, to either FAIL the quest - landing back on the planet and restarting it, OR if someone knew the X/SX coords to find the ship I am suppose to protect, to finish that quest?

Are you sure you have gone back to the same station?

It's quest 8 and the details are:

8
Olympus (Delta)
Planet Olympus Theta main City
Sector coords: 1251 0 503
position (within sector) coords: 34500 -13500 46500

If you are in the right city (main one which is marked on the nav map with a [+] rather than just a +) then I'm stuck - someone with more knowledge or even Vice will help!

I will check now, but I have been to every( unless I got turned around ) station, and city planet in the Olympus Sector.

I will also play in Windowed Mode - I just installed that MouseClip( 2 Monitors and I kept getting killed because I would click the other screen ) - so that I can report back from within the game this time.

Ok,

So I saved it at the station just above aforementioned city( ONLY city on the planet ) before I came to post. Now I loaded in, went to the News, hit 'View Last Quest Message', and it says,

"Sector Location: SX: 1251, SY: 0, SZ: 503 For your next assignment, we need you to defend one of our capital ships as it prepares to make... ... Until that indicator reaches 0, the ship will need your protection."

I don't see any capital ships near me, no counter and no bad guys... I will try to land and see if that changes anything( again ).

That's odd... I landed on the planet again, and now there is a new IMG Quest Contract. This is one about escorting a Ship to a specific waypoint. Does that sound right? Is that the next mission? I received no confirmation of completing the last...

Thanks for replying DaveK. As odd as it may be, I was indeed in the correct area, and it magically just came back... I wonder if it had anything to do with saving it in that sector, exiting the game and then coming back in...

Anyway, problem is resolved, and I am on to the next mission!
