Is there any known significance to the naming of StarPorts 1001 & 1004 in the Sol system?

I'm not sure, there probably is or the recorded data might have been lost or is stored in a classified document in one of Earths hidden Archives.

You could try to find the other 1000, 1002 and 1003 and see how many have survived the ages!......;):P
