Am I the only one? - Combat Pilot

Hello;

I started playing this week and im still discovering, enjoying the different aspects of the game. Yesterday i wanted to try something new and created a combat pilot, i thought it would be more fun than cleaning solar arrays.

The thing is that combat is just so fucking hard that i tried a single escort mission for like 50 times and failed it in every single time. It says in the contract that the estimated enemy fighters are 4, but i get like 100 plus a capital ship attacking our capital ship. i manage to destroy like 4-5 vonari and die all the time.

Any help with that? i already tried combat tutorial videos...

Hi and welcome.

I suggest that you start out as a Mercenary and do the IMG Quest. (Starts in Sapphire).

That will teach you the basics and also pays you well.

You can always buy a fighter ship or upgrade your civil ship at any time to fit for combat.

Also joining MP will help you a lot. Most pilots will answer questions and help you with
contracts if you want/need. (The IMG Quest can be done in MP as well. Only Race contract in SP)

First things first: either way you choose at the beginning you can, at any point, be miner or combat pilot
For new pilots i suggest that you start your life in Evochron Universe is mining/trading until you got enough experience to start Combat lifestyle lol, what comes to the intel of contracts it really sucks haha, 4 pilots its usually 10 like you say

In stations shipyards you can buy civil frames, and combat frames you can buy from carriers in Different Warzones

Ps. Cleaning solar arrays isnt the only task to do in this vast universe, jump online and many experienced pilots including me are more than happy to help you out at the beginning! In multiplayer you can also jump into some nice pilots gunner and see how he flies and manages engage the battle against vicious Vonari!

Aliceblue: if you're holding your own against the first four you're doing pretty well, all told. You'll know when you're doing combat COMPLETELY wrong as you'll explode in the first 5 seconds.
